We are licensed as an HCRA—Tarion Builder and Vendor for houses and condominiums in Ontario. With two licensed OAA Architects as our directors, we hold the legal authority to construct buildings of any size, as specified in Part 3 of the Ontario Building Code. Warranty
In Ontario, new home owners are protected under the Tarion Warranty Corporation. Tarion is a Government of Ontario mandated private corporation that protects the rights of new home buyers and regulates new home builders. A builder needs to be Home Construction Regulatory Authority (HCRA) licensed first to register homes with Tarion. Tarion administers the Ontario New Home Warranties Plan Act, which outlines the warranty protection that new home purchasers are entitled to in Ontario. Our warranties are limited to the requirements established by the Tarion Warranty Plan Act.

BSc Civil Engineering
Akram is an entrepreneur with 34 years of Canadian and international construction and development experience in residential typologies. Successfully completing over 15 custom home projects in the Greater Toronto Area, he has a proven track record in the management and delivery of beautiful and financially viable homes for private land owners and investors.
Prior to founding BASS HOMES in 2011, he has experience managing multiple construction sites, including a 22-storey apartment complex in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Subsequently, he also founded Dhaka Shelter Limited in Bangladesh, where he developed 20+ joint-venture apartments and office buildings throughout Dhaka.
Akram holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology. He is also licensed by the HCRA as a Builder and Vendor.

Architect OAA, MArch
Saadman Ahmed is a licensed Architect with the Ontario Association of Architects (OAA) and is also registered with HCRA—Tarion as a Builder and Vendor. With a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in Architecture from University of Waterloo, Saadman has distinguished himself early in his career, having received accolades for his award-winning Master’s thesis.
With over five years of professional experience, Saadman has worked on projects across the globe, including in Athens, Greece; Rotterdam, Netherlands; New York City, USA; and Toronto, Canada. His Canadian experience includes significant roles at renowned firms such as BDP Quadrangle Architects, Gensler, and SvN Architects.
Saadman emphasizes the importance of understanding and collaboration in addressing clients' needs and fostering strong partnerships. His technical expertise in Revit, Rhino, and Enscape, coupled with his creative vision, enables him to bring architectural concepts to life with precision.

Shahal is a licensed Architect with OAA, holding a Master of Architecture and a Bachelor of Architectural Studies degree from University of Waterloo. He has international work and study experiences in Italy, United States, Denmark and Canada, including work at renowned architecture firms like B+H, Diamond Schmitt, Pelli Clarke & Partners and BDP Quadrangle.
Shahal believes in listening and empathy as methods to understand clients and collaborators. He is skilled in architecture industry technologies like Revit, Rhino, and Enscape, and has a solid vision for realizing architectural imaginations.
He is a Member of Royal Architecture Institute of Canada (MRAIC), member of Toronto Society of Architects (TSA) and is registered with HCRA—Tarion as a Builder and Vendor.

Founded on Akram’s early experience in civil engineering and development, the company grew from a strong international foundation into a Canadian homebuilding practice rooted in quality, trust, and continuous improvement.
After relocating to Canada, BASS HOMES embraced new opportunities in the Toronto housing market. As Canadian citizens and local builders, we have developed over 15 homes across Toronto, combining decades of construction experience with a deep understanding of local design expectations, building standards, and client needs.
